Christmas Ceilidh

Get your dancing shoes on, as we are having a ceilidh/twmpath/barn dance at Penrallt on Saturday 1st December to get us ready for Christmas!

Music will be provided by the band Haley's Ceilidhs, back by popular demand after their triumphant debut earlier this year. Entry will be £4 (or £2 for concessions), to include a panad and biscuits, and all proceeds will go to the charity Compassion UK. Doors open at 7pm; dancing to start at 7:30pm and go on until late.

Monthly Prayer Meeting

In addition to our regular weekly Saturday morning prayer meetings (8:30am in the Twrgwn Room every Saturday), we have a monthly mid-week evening prayer meeting for the whole congregation. All are warmly encouraged to attend. The meetings usually take place in the chapel, on different nights of the week to give people with other regular commitments a chance to attend. The meetings start at 7:30pm and last about an hour. On the week when the prayer meeting is on, our homegroups do not meet.

The date of the next monthly prayer meeting is Tuesday 11th December and the following meeting is due to be on Thursday 10th January.

Prayer and Panad

Once a month, the men of Penrallt have a chance to meet together to pray for one another. The meeting usually takes place on the first Wednesday of each month at 10:30am in the Twrgwyn Room. It lasts for about 45 minutes. After we have prayed, we go across the road for a cup of coffee.

The next Prayer & Panad meeting will be on Wednesday 5th December.

Care Home Services

Once a month, a team from Penrallt visits a care home on on a Sunday afternoon to take a short service for the residents. We alternate between two homes – Haulfre in Llangoed (near Beaumaris) and Plas Garnedd in Llanberis – and the services are usually on the first Sunday of the month, starting 2:15pm (NB the services at Plas Garnedd now start at the same time as those at Haulfre). You are very welcome to join us. We are particularly in need of musicians and Welsh speakers.

There will be two services in December, in order to sing carols ato both homes: we will be going to Haulfre on Sunday 2nd December and to Plas Garnedd on Sunday 9th December. Please contact the church office to confirm whether these events are taking place or if you would like more information or would like to join the team.

Café Church

Want to try something different? Why not try Café Church? It's as simple as it sounds — a time when we meet together round tables, relaxing with friends and chatting about God and related issues. All are welcome. Our programme will vary from month to month, with live music, games, storytelling, video — you name it, we will try it!

Our café church events usually take place on Sunday evenings, starting at 6pm like our regular services, but in the rear hall and finishing later (normally between 7:30 and 8pm). The next one will be on Sunday 18th November. This will be a movie night and the film will probably be God's not dead.
